Fisya Farhana

13-year-old girl buys house in cash. One version of the so-called "American dream" is to work hard, save your money and buy your own home. This 13-year-old girl named Fisya Farhana has already realized that dream. Long story short: She lived in an area with a lot of homes. She convinced investors who were buying those homes to let her sell the stuff people left for her. She earned enough money to buy a 2-bedroom home on auction for $12,000. She went halvies with her mom, but intends to buy mom out in a few years. The family cleaned up the home, which had been trashed by the previous owners, and now rent it for $700 a month. Now F.F is saving her money to buy a second home. editor: You'd better hire a guardian or the cat's would get ya' ha..ha

But I did find a tunnel with dry leaves and gusts of wind. Here I was trying to photograph a single leaf blowin’ in the wind. It also reminds me of a moonscape. circa 1998

Mad Artist Once upon a time, there was a place in Brooklyn called Greenpoint that had yet to be fully colonized by Manhattanites. And I was introduced to a painter who lived there who took me on a tour of some secret places along the waterfront. This was one such place. It is a burnt-out garage, that had been taken over by a homeless artist and redecorated. The homeless artist had disappeared by then, but his work remained. a man photographed the place with his Mamiya 6 (a medium format film camera) and after having the image on my site for a while, saw that it was too spooky, and that people looking to buy nice things for the living room would be flipping through images and as soon as they came to this one - left en masse. So he removed it. Nevertheless, it continues to fascinate me. It's just so strange. And yes, so scary. So the man won't put it into my store for fear of driving away potential customers - but someday - when he have my big exhibit - thi...
